Will was home for 9 days before we noticed he wasn't himself. We took him to the ER where he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect in the early hours of the next day. Will was life-flighted to OKC Children's Hospital where he underwent heart surgery one week later at 17 days old. After four weeks in the cardiac ICU, we took our boy home.

His heart journey is not over. He most likely has another heart surgery in the near future and this will be something he deals with for the rest of his life. 

Today, he is a happy healthy boy and we are so grateful for his life. Will is a heart warrior and we are forever a heart family.

We are participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.
