The Congenital Heart Walk is dedicated to raising funds to support The Children's Heart Foundation's mission: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding the most promising research.

OUR STORY:

CHD is no stranger to our family.  Both my sister Kelly and my daughter Amelia (the basis for the name K&A Heart Heroes) were born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a severe and complex heart defect that requires life-saving surgery within the first several months of life.  Kelly and Amelia's stories may have different plots, but ultimately they have faced some similar battles.  1/100 babies are born with a congenital heart defect, and 1/4 of those babies will require open heart surgery in the first year of life to survive.  Thank you for your dontation to The Children's Heart Foundation to help congenital heart disease awareness and research - for Kelly, Amelia, and all heart warriors!
