We are walking for our heart warrior son, Austin. He was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare and serious congenital heart defect. In just his first year of life, he has already undergone two major open-heart surgeries. It’s been a long first year but Austin’s strength and resilience continues to show! 

We are walking not only in honor of him, but for all heart warriors (including Austin's cousin London) and families navigating the realities of congenital heart defects. CHDs are the most common birth defect, and research is critical to improving outcomes, treatments, and quality of life for these children.
