Thank you for visiting Molly's Team Page! While you're reading this, Molly is most likely running outside, with a bow in her hair and binky in her hand. She's a spunky and active two year old, thanks to life-saving research.

Every 15 minutes in the United States, a baby is born with a congenital heart defect, making CHDs the most common birth defect in our country. Molly's history: Molly’s congenital heart defect, Transposition of the Great Arteries, was diagnosed at a routine fetal echo at 22 weeks. At 6 days old, Molly had open heart surgery. She had two follow up procedures at 4 months (to put stents into her pulmonary arches) and 11 months (to expand the stents). Today she is busy little girl! Molly loves to play outside, eat strawberries, run, play with her brothers, read books, cuddle her "babies," and dance. We’re able to see her smile and laugh every day, thanks to the technology and advancements made possible by congenital heart research.
