I am fundraising to help out heart warriors like me and future me! The funding for CHD research is the least funded with CHD being the most common birth defect! 1/100 babies are born with a CHD, or thats a baby every 15 mins and many babies dont show signs until weeks after birth. At this moment, most CHD are just a fluke with no known cause. Mothers can try to decrease the chances of CHD in their babies by staying healthy, not drinking and no smoking before or during their pregnancy, but even then, it's not enough.
I am 5 years old and living my best life with energy to spare, last year wasn't as much and the year before that was even less. The research has proven to be helpful, especially to a kid like me.
I am happy to say I am going into kindergarten this school year and I'm so excited!!!!
