As a parent of a CHD warrior supporting a foundation such as The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission to advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research is very close to my heart. 

Our first son, Ford, was diagnosed with a right aortic arch and vascular ring in utero and at just 2 years old underwent surgery at U of M Motts Children hospital to remove his vascular ring which had begun to compress his esophagus making it hard for him to swallow. 

In the same year as Fords surgery our close friend gave birth to one of Ford's favorite little girls, Haisley. (no literally will tell me he LOVES her), Haisley was born with a Atrioventricular Spetal Defect and will also being having surgery at Mott's to repair her defect in the near future. 

Unfortunately we will not be able to walk in this event this year but still wanted to do our part to support this foundation and I invite you to help support our fundraising efforts! Together, we can raise the funds essential to drive forward life-saving research.
