Aubree Richard

My name is Aubree, and I am a mother, wife, engineering technician, and part-time crafter. When I learned I was pregnant in 2022, I had no idea that my firstborn would be a heart warrior. It was not until Kennedy was 2.5 months old that we discovered his heart disease. At just 8.5 months old, my son has already undergone two heart surgeries for COA (Corotation of the Aorta). He also has a leaky Mitral Valve and a bi-cuspid valve. Despite the numerous medical challenges, Kennedy remains one of the happiest babies I know. He is always smiling and loves meeting new people. I am grateful for the opportunity to access one of the nation's top pediatric cardiology care centers.

As a mother of a child with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), I aspire to promote awareness for CHD research and provide support to other families in need.

The Children's Heart Foundation was founded in 1996 and is the country's leading organization solely dedicated to funding congenital heart defect (CHD) research. 

Our mission is to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.
