Logan's Story
Logan was born on July 23rd, 2023 with TGA (Transposition of the Great Arteries). Transposition is a rare congenital heart defect where the two main arteries leaving the heart are reversed. Logan was born at NYU in Manhatten where he spent 4 months in the CCVCU. He received multiple catheter procedures to try to improve his heart defect but ultimately needed a full life-saving repair. Logan had his open heart surgery on October 31st, 2023. His recovery process went extremely well as he was quickly able to breathe on his own and began doing typical baby things. Logan was finally able to come home on November 29th, 2023 at 4 months old. Logan is growing and thriving and is catching up on all of his major milestones. Logan is a strong and resilient heart warrior who is blessed to have the best care from NYU and have the support and prayers from so many.
