Our son Charlie was born with a congenital heart defect called D-TGA. We are so lucky to have been in the same state as the world-class surgeons at Advocate Christ Children's Hospital who saved Charlie's life with his open-heart surgery at three days old. Charlie would not be here without the advancement of surgical techniques and practices accomplished by research funded by organizations such as the Children's Heart Foundation. We are fundraising in honor of his THIRD birthday that wouldn't be possible without the surgeons at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Thank you for helping us honor his THIRD birthday.
