Enzo is our vibrant, funny, kind, caring, loving, happy and incredibly strong 3-year-old son. He was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare and life-threatening congenital heart defect where the left side of the heart is underdeveloped.

Since birth, Enzo has faced challenges no child should have to endure—multiple hospital stays, countless appointments, and two open-heart surgeries before his third birthday. He’s now preparing for his third surgery in his 3 stage reconstructive heart surgery, the Fontan, this summer.

Despite everything, Enzo continues to smile, laugh, and bring joy to everyone around him. He is the definition of a heart warrior.

We are walking in the New England Congenital Heart Walk to support The Children’s Heart Foundation, which funds the research that makes stories like Enzo’s possible. Every donation goes toward advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects—the most common birth defect in the U.S.
