Thank you for visiting our page - we are truly grateful for your support! This year, Benji and I joined the Children's Heart Foundation planning committee for the annual CHD walk and started Team Stripe!

Just like the cause itself, the name of our team is very close to home...being born with CHD created a certain level of confusion and frustration as a young child - Why couldn't I keep up in gym class? Why can't I play certain sports? Why am I the only one with a stripe? 

A mark that once lingered with shame and frustration now emulates pride and perspective. I no longer think of the girl that finished last during the school mile; instead, I think of the girl who walks to work everyday, the girl constantly searching for the next trendy barre / pilates challenge, the girl that was so fortunate to receive vital care and treatment over the years to live a full, active, and fulfilling life. Now our mission is to pay it forward and continue to advance the treatment and prevention of CHDs.  

Every 15 minutes in the United States, a baby is born with a congenital heart defect, making CHDs the most common birth defect in our country. The Congenital Heart Walk is dedicated to making a difference. Our mission is clear - we aim to raise funds to support The Children's Heart Foundation in its quest to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding groundbreaking research.
