My commitment to making a difference has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives.

Especially in the life of my sister. She was born with a congenital heart defect. Through research they found a non-invasive test called a pulse ox study that measures oxygen levels. My sister's levels were very different in her upper and lower body.

This prompted her medical team and she was transported to the NICU. Her echocardiogram showed she needed heart surgery because her heart was broken in alot of places. She had her first open heart surgery at 6 days old. 

My sister lives today because of generous donors like yourself that help fund research, advocacy, treatment, awareness and prevention.
