Mary Elizabeth Meldman, "Mellie", was born on February 14, 2022 - a 'Heart Baby' on 'Heart Day'. Mellie was diagnosed with a critical CHD while in utero. At birth her diagnosis was right ventricular hypoplasia, tricuspid hypoplasia, pulmonary stenosis and a VSD. In less than a year, Mellie has undergone 2 cardiac catheterizations and 1 open-heart surgery. We are beyond grateful for the advancements in pediatric cardiology that have allowed our girl to grow and thrive. We are committed to supporting and raising funds for continued advancements in CHD research and interventions.
