Dean’s Personal Fundraising Page

For the 4th straight year, our family and friends are walking in support of the New England Children’s Heart Foundation.

 

Our 4-year-old son, James, was born with hypoplastic right heart syndrome (tricuspid atresia)—essentially half a heart. Thanks to modern medicine, and the generosity of people who fund this life-saving research, he’s here with us today.

 

After three open-heart surgeries, countless echocardiograms, and showing a level of toughness (and stubborn, feisty spirit) that inspires us every day, James is thriving. You’ll find him ice skating, playing tee ball and soccer, riding his scooter, and wrestling—always keeping up with his older brother and already looking out for his baby brother.

 

We feel incredibly lucky. For those who are able to give, we are deeply grateful for your support. And just as important, helping raise awareness and advocating for continued research brings us closer to a cure.
