My Personal Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

I hope you'll join me by supporting my fundraising efforts as I work to raise funds for life-saving research.

We do this Congenital Heart Walk to honor our CHD champion, Connor. Connor was diagnosed at 10 days old with right aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery. Typically, the aorta descends to the left. Connor’s aorta descends to the right. He underwent corrective cardio-thoracic surgery when he was three months old to release vascular tissue restricting his trachea and esophagus. This condition is called a vascular ring. He is still followed by cardiology, and all his follow up appointments have been great.

Heart defects are not always caught prior to birth, actually most are not, even with repeat ultrasounds. My son left the hospital, undiagnosed despite having some intensive tests done while he was there. He was only diagnosed because we were at CHOP for a genetics appointment about his missing toes and their radiologist saw that Connor's trachea was bowed forward in an x-ray. So, we do the walk to help raise awareness about congenital heart defects. Please consider joining our team or donating.
