Dallas Congenital Heart Walk

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

Raising funds for Congenital Heart Defects research is critically important to all heart warriors, and heart angels, and personally very important to me. 1 in 110 babies are born with a heart defect. My daughter Brylie was born with HLHS. She was not diagnosed at 20 weeks gestation as most other babies with this severe defect. She was diagnosed at 3 days old as her health continued to decline. She was the happiest baby I have ever known despite spending her first 5 months of life in the cardiac ICU. She only lived a very short 11 months because doctors ran out of options to help her. Brylie fought a good fight while she was here and it is only because of the medical research and funding that she was even given a chance, but these babies deserve a better life and a real chance. The parents and families of CHD warriors deserve to have hope for their baby's futures. This is why funding research is so important to me. I will spend the rest of my life making sure to honor the memory of our daughter the heart warrior. I can only hope that you will join me in raising funds. It is my goal to bring awareness to everyone I meet and lend a helping hand to many families facing CHD. This is just the beginning. Togther we can make a difference.
